Sand Absorption Cone Set (Abraham Cone)

The Sand Absorption Cone Set (Abraham Cone) is designed for the determination of the specific gravity and water absorption of fine aggregates with a maximum particle size of 10 mm, in accordance with the requirements of the applicable international testing standards. The apparatus is also used to determine the Saturated Surface Dry (SSD) condition of fine aggregates prior to testing.

The set consists of a precision-manufactured Abraham cone and a tamping rod. The cone is manufactured from corrosion-resistant plated steel to ensure long service life and reliable performance under laboratory conditions. The cone has an upper internal diameter of 40 mm, a lower internal diameter of 90 mm, and a height of 75 mm. The tamping rod features a 25 mm diameter flat base and weighs approximately 340 g, complying with the dimensional requirements of the relevant testing standards.
